MMA legend Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson discloses most difficult part of acting: "There's ego in that too"

MMA legend Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson recently disclosed what he considers to be the most difficult part of acting and opened about his own experiences. He noted that there is also a similarity between acting and MMA, especially when offering his own input.

The former light heavyweight champion has been among the list of fighters including Randy Couture, Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor to transition into acting. Like the former UFC champions, 'Rampage' played a role in a major film as he starred as B.A. Baracus in the 2010 film 'The A-Team'.

During a recent episode of his JAXXON PODCAST, 'Rampage' discussed some of the biggest difficulties he has experienced with acting. Jackson mentioned that playing the role of a black male with dialogue written by a white writer often results in an unnatural performance. He said:

"Some roles they be like any race but then some roles would be for a black guy. But then when it's a black character, I can read my lines and be like, 'Alright, no black man wrote this'. Then the problem is like, you know how there's ego in mixed martial arts? There's ego in that too. So I'll be like, 'Can I make this my own?', and then the guy will be like, 'Well, what's wrong with it?'...So that's the hard part for me."
