Months after taking body shot from Alex Pereira, YouTuber Adin Ross repeating challenge with Islam Makhachev draws mixed reactions: "Acting hardcore"
YouTuber and Kick streamer Adin Ross found himself at the mercy of UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev during a promotional stream ahead of UFC 311. Ross, who previously sparred with Alex Pereira, attempted to match Makhachev’s intensity, only to face a rare submission and a crushing body shot that left fans buzzing.
The lightweight champion, days away from his title defense against Arman Tsarukyan at the Intuit Dome, joined Ross for a series of lighthearted exchanges. During the stream, Makhachev demonstrated his grappling prowess by locking Ross into a twister submission.
The highlight came during a punching power challenge. Despite wearing protective padding, Ross was floored by a full-power body shot from Makhachev, showcasing the champion's strength.
The segment drew mixed reactions online. One fan wrote:
"Lol he was acting hardcore its not that painful with the Thai pad on"
Another added:
"Why would he want to do that"

When Adin Ross tested Alex Pereira’s kicks during a live stream
This is not the first time Adin Ross has interacted with a UFC champion. The streamer had previously engaged with UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. During the interaction, Ross asked Pereira to demonstrate his striking power by kicking his leg.
Despite Pereira barely applying any strength, his light kick left the 23-year-old streamer in visible pain. Ross yelled out, struggled to stand, and dramatically claimed his leg was "vibrating."
The UFC star appeared confused by Ross's reaction, considering the kick was far from full force. However, Ross’s antics didn’t stop there. Once he recovered, he asked for a stronger kick, engaging his chat by saying:
“You think I could do a little more Chat?”
Ross even suggested his friend Konvy try it, requesting Pereira to use more power for the demonstration.
