MSNBC issues correction after Joe Rogan slams network for "deceptively editing" Tulsi Gabbard comment
MSNBC recently released a statement after posting a TikTok video that seemingly showed Joe Rogan praising Kamala Harris for her work over the years when the UFC commentator was actually referring to former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.
Earlier this month, MSNBC posted a TikTok video edited using different parts of an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with political commentator Michael Malice (JRE #2182). The video showed Rogan lauding Harris, the Democrat nominee for the 2024 presidential elections, and predicting that she would beat Donald Trump on the ballots. However, that wasn't the case.
Rogan later clarified that his comments were actually meant for Gabbard and slammed MSNBC for manipulating his words to deceive viewers. During an episode of JRE with Andrew Huberman (#2195), Rogan said:
"This is what MSNBC did, they took a clip of me talking about Tulsi Gabbard and they edited it up and made it look like I was saying great things about Kamala Harris... They didn't do it like AI, they just deceptively edited the things that I was saying."
In response to the backlash, the American news channel issued an apology and provided a statement. They wrote:
"We have removed an earlier version of this post that incorrectly implied Joe Rogan was talking more about Vice President Kamala Harris. He was referring to Tulsi Gabbard." [H/t: Fox News]
Tulsi Gabbard slams MSNBC for edited Joe Rogan TikTok clip
Tulsi Gabbard recently reacted to MSNBC's edited clip of Joe Rogan seemingly praising Kamala Harris and slammed the American news network for acting as a "propaganda machine" for the politically left-leaning elites.
In an X post, Gabbard addressed the video and called out the outlet for misleading viewers. Calling the clip's content a "completely fake" piece of work, the former U.S. Congresswoman said:
"MSNBC is again EXPOSED as a propaganda machine for the Democrat Elite, and how they will brazenly try to deceive the American people. [In] one part of the video Joe Rogan was talking about Kamala, and another part of the video, he was talking about me. MSNBC combined it together to make it look like everything was said about Kamala and he was endorsing her. Of course, this is completely fake."
