Muhammad Ali's grandson put on an impressive performance in his PFL debut on Friday night. Biaggio Ali Walsh won his fight via a first-round knockout at the PFL World Championships in New York City.
Despite being hosted by the PFL, the fight was an amateur bout and improved Ali Walsh's record to 2-1 in amateur MMA. Both of Ali Walsh's victories so far have come via knockout, illustrating his proficiency in boxing.
Muhammad Ali's grandson had his opponent, Tom Graesser, bloodied and beaten early in the first round. Ali Walsh then landed a lethal straight right-hand that put his opponent away.
At just 24 years old, Biaggio Ali Walsh has plenty of time to keep honing his skills as he edges closer to a professional debut.

Biaggio Ali Walsh defeated Tom Graesser in in dominant fashion on the preliminary card of the PFL World Championships last night. Ali Walsh is now 2-1 in amateur MMA with back-to-back knockout victories.
Ali Walsh proved to be too much for his opponent from the opening bell, and finished the fight in just 45 seconds.
In his post-fight interview, Ali Walsh spoke about the pressure that comes with having the same last name as his legendary grandfather. Whilst he did acknowledge its presence, Biaggio Ali Walsh stated that he knew how to deal with the pressure:
"The pressure is gonna be there. But I talk to myself a lot and I meditate and visualize. There's certain things I do to deal with that pressure you know. It's going to always be there, but I think I handle it pretty well though."

Biagio Ali Walsh spoke candidly about how he never intended on being a fighter, in an interview in 2017. Ali Walsh stated that he had a close relationship with his grandfather growing up, but never wanted to emulate Muhammad Ali's boxing career.
Ali Walsh is now eager to continue the legacy of his family in the combat sports world.
