Muhammad Mokaev responds after fan claims he hasn't delivered his Uber Eats order yet
Former UFC flyweight Muhammad Mokaev seems to be taking his recent release from the company quite well. Despite his unanimous decision win over Manel Kape at UFC 304 last weekend, the UFC reportedly did not renew Mokaev's contract, effectively leaving the undefeated fighter unemployed.
Still, 'The Punisher' is all smiles in a photo he posted on X, with the caption:
"Unemployed man in Dubai"
A fan, @23cmcpadres, jokingly implied that Mokaev found a new job, saying:
"Muhammad you haven’t delivered by Uber eats order yet"
Mokaev replied to the tweet in humorous fashion, saying:
"Taking too long to deliver, longer than ufc decision. They fired me"
Fellow UFC flyweight Steve Erceg sheds more light on Muhammad Mokaev's release
Former UFC flyweight world title challenger Steve Erceg gave more details on what could have caused the UFC to release an undefeated fighter like Mokaev fresh off a win.
In a recent video interview, Erceg made some insightful speculation on why Muhammad Mokaev was cut, saying:
"The way [Mokaev] treats people, don't know if fans get to see it but I don't know, he just seems like he's a little entitled and things he's very important, which I don't particularly like and obviously the UFC didn't like. So, hopefully he grows from here and learns a lesson."
Erceg continued:
"I saw it when I fought on the same card as him. Just the way he was treating the nutrition team and that sort thing from the UFC. Just like, little things that are just disrespectful that I thought were odd. He's a young kid, hopefully he'll learn from this moment."
Here's Erceg's statement, as posted by Championship Rounds on X:
If it was Mokaev's behavior that had him cut, then it must have been truly bad, as the UFC is not in the habit of releasing undefeated fighters, especially right after a win.
