“My dream is real” - Anatoly Malykhin looking more than ready for world title defense against ‘Reug Reug’ at ONE 169
Anatoly Malykhin is living and breathing proof that pure, unadulterated power can take any fighter to unprecedented heights.
The reigning three-division MMA world champion already looks to be in perfect form a few weeks before he defends his ONE heavyweight MMA world title against Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane in the main event of ONE 169.
Malykhin's defense of his heavyweight MMA throne goes down at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Nov. 8 in US primetime.
Taking to Instagram, Malykhin showed a snippet of his training camp at Tiger Muay Thai while expressing his mantra ahead of his world title defense.
Anatoly Malykhin posted:
"My dream is real 🪐"
Malykhin shared a video of a simple boxing drill with his head coach John Hutchinson while going through his daily motions at his home gym in Phuket, Thailand.
While it looked easy to the untrained eye, Malykhin's regimen is specifically designed to maximize his concussive power.
Malykhin has a perfect 14-0 record in his career, 6-0 in ONE Championship, and a ridiculous 100 percent finishing rate.
From 2022 to 2024, the Russian wrecking machine collected a total of four belts in the promotion in arguably the most dominant run in the history of MMA.
Malykhin first captured the ONE interim heavyweight MMA world title when he knocked out Kirill Grishenko in February 2022.
He then became the ONE light heavyweight MMA world champion after stopping Reinier de Ridder at ONE on Prime Video 5, before becoming the undisputed ONE heavyweight MMA world champion by dominating Arjan Bhullar at ONE Friday Fights 22.
Anatoly Malykhin ultimately made history at ONE 166 earlier this year when he became a three-division world champion after knocking out de Ridder for the ONE middleweight MMA world title.
ONE 169 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Anatoly Malykhin says he has all bases covered for ONE 169 title defense against 'Reug Reug'
Anatoly Malykhin has often relied on his unreal power whenever he's stepped between the ropes or entered the ONE Championship circle.
'Sladkiy', however, isn't just a brawling punching machine.
Malykhin is a natural grappler and a Master of Sport in Freestyle Wrestling in his native Russia. He told ONE Championship that he'll easily unleash his entire arsenal if he needs to against 'Reug Reug' in Bangkok:
"But I'm ready for all of that against any opponent. When it comes to a fight with me, I'll be ready for the grappling, striking, and I'll be in top shape physically."
