“My skills have improved” - Nabil Anane talks about his developing skills after taking out Soe Lin Oo at ONE Friday Fights 81
Rising bantamweight Muay Thai star and fourth-ranked divisional contender Nabil Anane of Thailand put together another impressive performance last weekend. The 20-year-old scored a massive victory over lethwei legend Soe Lin Oo at home.
Anane locked horns with the Burmese veteran at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut at Lumpinee Stadium, and the 6-foot-3 Algerian-Thai sensation once again looked absolutely unstoppable.
Speaking to the media at the official ONE Friday Fights 81 post-event interviews, Anane talked about his development as a fighter.
The 20-year-old said:
"Yeah, my skills have improved, every fight. Now I'm more relaxed every time I fight more and more. I can think more. I got much more experience and I hope the next time will be better."
As for what areas of improvement he has identified in his game, Anane says he will just keep working hard to achieve his goals:
"I don't know. It depends on my opponent, but I will improve on everything - my strength, my intelligence, everything."
Needless to say, Anane continues to get better and better every day, and the young star is becoming a huge problem for the guys at the top of the stack.
What's next for Nabil Anane in ONE Championship?
At just 20 years of age and already a huge contender to the bantamweight Muay Thai throne, the sky is the limit for Nabil Anane.
His freakish height and length have given opponents in the world's largest martial arts organization absolute fits. There doesn't seem to be anyone -- aside from two-sport, two-division king Superlek Kiatmoo9 -- who can decipher the code.
That being said, Anane may be due to challenge the upper echelon -- guys like Nong-O Hama, Jonathan Haggerty, an Nico Carrillo. But the youngster isn't in any rush and wants to take things nice and slow in his career.
