Laddy Mejia, on the other hand, is a rising talent from Peru, holding a record of 1-0. She made her professional debut in August 2023, earning a split-decision victory over Sarah Click.

Round 1
Mejia opens up with a high guard, swinging for the fences from the onset. Dove looks like the more composed fighter, opening up with a few jabs. Dove catches Mejia with a counter left hook that breaks Mejia's entry with an overhand right.

Dove doubles down on her jab attempts to slow down Mejia's forward pressure. A solid right hand from Dove knocks down Mejia and she receives a standing count.
