Nate Diaz gives six-word reaction to Conor McGregor winning $1.6 million betting on him, Irishman tweets back

Conor McGregor made $1.6 million betting on Nate Diaz to win against Jorge Masvidal in their boxing grudge match, and Diaz is happy that the Irishman turned a profit on him.

This past weekend, the Stockton native earned a majority decision win over 'Gamebred' in their main event bout on the 'Last Man Standing' boxing card. McGregor had made a $500,000 bet on Diaz to win and raked in a clean sweep of $1,625,000.

Diaz was, however, his usual nonchalant self while reacting to McGregor's massive winnings. During the post-fight presser, he said:

"That's cool. Good job for us."

Sure enough, his former foe's response prompted a light-hearted quip from the Irishman, who took to X to write:

"I make ya so much money you can swim in it!"

Interestingly, it seems McGregor has profited more from the fight than the two main eventers.

According to figures released by the California State Athletic Commission, Diaz and Masvidal bagged $500,000 and $300,000 respectively for the fight, significantly lower than the former UFC two-division champion's winnings.

McGregor was supposed to make his MMA return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, he ultimately withdrew from the event owing to a broken pinky toe. He is expected to make his octagon return sometime later this year.

Meanwhile, Diaz has set himself up for a plethora of lucrative opportunities with his fiery post-fight speech on Saturday.

Nate Diaz aims UFC return, calls out Leon Edwards and Jake Paul

It looks like Nate Diaz has tall ambitions following his boxing win over Jorge Masvidal, and getting back two of his old losses seems to be first on his list.

During his post-fight interview, the Stockton native delivered a fiery post-fight speech, saying:

"I'm going to beat Jake Paul's f*****g a**. I'm down to fight the highest-ranked boxer I can find and get him on a high level, so people know who the f**k he is. My main objective like, always has been to be the best fighter in the world, so I want to go back and get a UFC title. Leon Edwards, Jake Paul, and anybody the f**k else, you are dead."
