Nate Diaz responds to Conor McGregor's Power Slap League callout
Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have again engaged in a Twitter spat, this time stemming from the Irishman's callout to the Stockton native for a Slap Fight.
The Dubliner recently proposed a title clash with Diaz under the banner of Dana White's Power Slap League. Diaz responded by posting a clip from their first fight where he landed the famous Stockton slap flush on McGregor's face. Claiming to have already beaten 'The Notorious' at Slap fighting, Diaz wrote:

Having initiated the Slap Fight challenge, McGregor hit back, saying that he gave Diaz concussions with real strikes.

Diaz refused to back down and responded with more digs, claiming to have knocked out McGregor faster than Floyd Mayweather did and submitted him faster than Khabib Nurmagomedov did. The Dubliner is yet to retort with his usual remarks.
Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor clashed for the first time at UFC 196 in 2016, with Diaz pulling off an epic second-round submission win in one of the biggest upsets of all time. The two met in a rematch five months later that saw 'The Notorious' win via majority decision.
Nate Diaz is specifically interested in a trilogy fight against Conor McGregor
After years of rallying for his release, Nate Diaz finally exhausted his UFC contract with a submission win over fellow legend Tony Ferguson back in September. However, Diaz wasn't officially free until the UFC recently waived off an exclusive three-month negotiating period that is included in the contract.
Diaz's manager Zach Rosenfield recently revealed that the Stockton native still remains interested in a UFC return, but specifically for a rubber fight against Conor McGregor. Rosenfield told MMA Junkie:
"This does not shut the door on Diaz continuing to stay in the UFC. With the pending return of Conor McGregor, that fight still remains extremely appealing to both fans, the promotion, as well as Diaz and McGregor. But what is now clear is that the long-awaited Nathan Diaz free agent sweepstakes have officially begun."

Rosenfield also claims to have had good discussions on various options with the UFC brass since Diaz exhausted his contract with the promotion. Diaz's manager also promised multiple appearances from the Stockton slugger next year.
Diaz is looking to fight 2-3 times in 2023, per Rosenfield.
