Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal: Full card video highlights

Former UFC fighters Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal rekindled their storied rivalry, this time inside the boxing ring in a showcase billed as the Last Man Standing. The event went down on July 6, 2024, at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The winner's column skewed heavily towards decision-based triumphs, with some KO/ TKO victories spread across the billing for good measure.

Luciano Ramos vs. Dan Hernandez

Dan Hernandez put on a solid display against Nick Diaz Academy standout Luciano Ramos on the event's preliminary card. He proved to be the better boxer in the exchanges, using his reach and refined skillset to stifle his opponent. The judges scored the contest 38-36, 38-36, 39-37 in favor of Hernandez.

With this victory, Hernandez improved his record to 4-5. Meanwhile, Ramos dropped to 2-5 with back-to-back losses this year.

Steven Dunn vs. Gabriel Aguilar Costa

The heavyweight boxing clash unfolded as a sluggish reciprocal striking encounter with Costa getting the better of the exchanges. He put the finishing touches to the thrilling display catching Dunn against the ropes, overwhelming his opponent with lower-impact rapid-fire strikes. The referee called an end to the fight at the 2:50 mark of the second round.

Jose Aguayo vs. Bryce Logan

It was another blow for Team Diaz as Bryce Logan got the better of Jose Aguayo in their preliminary boxing clash. Logan defeated his foe via TKO at the 1:20 mark of the third round.

Kenneth Lopez vs. Andres Martinez

Lopez and Martinez went the distance in an exciting six-round boxing clash. Lopez got the better of his rival via unanimous decision and extended his undefeated run to 10-0.

Alan Sanchez vs. Louie Lopez

Louie Lopez snapped Alan Sanchez's three-fight win streak with an emphatic unanimous decision victory. The bout played out as a competitive affair with Lopez doing just enough to get the better of the proceedings. Sanchez mounted significant offense of his own but it wasn't enough to tip the scales in his favor on the judges' scorecards. In the end, the judges scored the bout 77-75, 77-75, 77-75 in favor of Lopez.

Devin Cushing vs. Manny Correa

Devin Cushing and Manny Correa squared off in a thrilling eight-round clash at 135 lbs. that went the distance. Cushing proved to be the early aggressor, putting his jab to good effect and applying pressure to stifle his opponent.

While Correa struggled to find his rhythm, he displayed renewed vigor towards the second half of the fight. He picked up the aggression in the later rounds, but Cushing's consistent activity and bodywork helped him get the better of the exchanges. In the end, the judges scored the contest 77-75, 78-74, 80-72 in favor of Cushing.


Sean Garcia vs. Amado Vargas

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal weren't the only fighters entangled in an explosive feud in the buildup to the fight. Sean Garcia and Amado Vargas' rivalry was equally advertised and the contest lived up to the expectations. Vargas' calculated onslaught and accumulated damage took a toll on Garcia as he crumbled to a knockout loss in the sixth round.


Curmel Moton vs. Nikolai Buzolin

Curmel Moton proved exactly why he's one of the most revered young talents at just 18. From the start, Moton controlled the ring, using his jab and body shots to suffocate Buzolin.

In the second round, Moton intensified his attack, overwhelming Buzolin against the ropes with relentless punches that prompted the referee to stop the fight at 1:39 of round two. With this win, Moton extended his win streak to 4-0.

Anthony Pettis vs. Chris Avila

Chris Avila continues to ascend in the boxing world as a puzzle that can't be solved. The Stockton native asserted control with consistent pressure and patent combinations. Pettis found success with his jab but Avila's persistent pressure and forward movement kept Pettis on the defensive.

Avila's endurance powered through and proved to be decisive in the later rounds as he secured a unanimous decision win by scores of 58-56, 59-55, and 59-55.


Daniel Jacobs vs. Shane Mosley Jr.

The highly anticipated Daniel Jacobs vs. Shane Mosley Jr. played out as a tactical affair. Mosley Jr. leveraged the jab and a flurry of crisp combinations to keep his opponent at bay. Jacobs struggled to find his rhythm early on, with Mosley Jr. consistently outboxing him and landing the cleaner shots. He managed to mount some offense in the later round, but Mosley Jr.'s superior ring generalship and defensive skills proved to be the decisive factor.

In the end, the judges scored the bout in favor of Mosley Jr. via unanimous decision with scores of 99-91, 99-91, and 100-90.


Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal battled it out for ten rounds in a non-stop, high-output clash that had fans on the edge of their seats. Diaz resorted to his patent volume punching approach while Masvidal surprised everyone by starting out in the southpaw stance. He got the better of the Stockton native in the dynamic striking exchanges.

However, it was Diaz who walked away with the win with majority decision scores of 95-95, 97-93, 98-92.
