New report on Joe Rogan says Spotify executives could "walk away" after recent comments on Jews

Joe Rogan's recent anti-Semitic trope about Jews and money on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), has reportedly landed him in hot waters with Spotify executives.

During episode #1936 of JRE, the UFC color commentator drew a rather bizarre parallel between Jewish people and money, saying that it was "ridiculous" not to acknowledge their affinity for money:

“The idea Jewish people don’t like money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza. It’s f*****g stupid.”

Responding to the podcaster's remarks, Anti-Defamation League director Jonathan Greenblatt clapped back at the 55-year-old and criticized him for using his platform to spread anti-Semitic narratives.

Spotify acquired an exclusive three-year license for Rogan's podcast in 2020, reportedly shelling out upwards of $200 million. Since then, the Swedish audio streaming giant has drawn public ire for Rogan's actions on numerous occasions.

In 2021, the platform came under insurmountable pressure to de-platform the UFC commentator after he insisted that healthy, young Americans need not take the Covid-19 vaccines.

The 55-year-old again attracted infamy when singer India Arie posted a video compilation of the podcaster using racial slurs during multiple episodes of JRE.

According to a report by RADAR, Spotify executives are considering distancing themselves from the often controversial podcaster since they are tired of making apologies on Rogan's behalf for statements "they don’t agree with and in some cases are appalled by."

As per a source quoted by RADAR, many of the top executives in the company are eager to walk away from the podcaster:

"Many execs believe walking away from him would be the best business decision."

Joe Rogan gives solution for people who have issues with his podcast content

It looks like Joe Rogan has a rather simple solution for people who are outraged by his popular podcast JRE. He simply states that they don't need to watch it.

During episode #1647 of JRE, Rogan and his fellow comic Dave Chappelle discussed how social media has enabled people to unfairly target specific individuals. During the segment, the 55-year-old touched on the criticism he receives for his podcast and stated that the audience should simply choose not to tune in to his podcast if they are truly outraged by it:

"Thats what I keep saying about me when people get outraged about my podcast, I'm like, well, you don't have to listen to it. Like why are you listening to it, looking for things that are pissing you off? What are you doing?"
