Neymar Jr. goes viral after playing mediator during heated in-ring confrontation at Beterbiev vs. Bivol boxing event
Football star Neymar Jr. went viral after stepping in as a mediator during a heated confrontation at the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol boxing event. The Brazilian superstar found himself in the mix of a chaotic scene as Chris Eubank Jr. celebrated his knockout victory over Kamil Szeremeta. The drama unfolded when Eubank Jr.'s long-time rival, Conor Benn, stormed the ring to challenge 'Next Gen'.
Eubank Jr. secured an emphatic seventh-round stoppage against Szeremeta. Within the first round, Eubank Jr. showcased his skills by flooring Szeremeta with a sharp combination, establishing control for the rest of the fight. Despite Szeremeta's resilience, he struggled to break through Eubank Jr.'s impressive jab and crisp shots.
By the fifth round, it was clear that Eubank Jr. was in cruise control, landing solid body shots and combinations that left Szeremeta struggling to keep up. As the fight progressed, Eubank Jr. also demonstrated his defensive skills, effectively slipping punches and countering with quick combinations. He knocked Szeremeta down again in the seventh round with a flurry of punches, prompting the referee to halt the contest.
As Eubank celebrated his victory, Benn made his entrance, declaring he would finish Eubank off in three rounds. The confrontation escalated quickly, with both fighters exchanging heated words. Security personnel rushed to contain the situation, but Neymar’s unexpected intervention captured the fans' attention. The footballer attempted to calm tensions between the two fighters.

Eubank Jr. expressed his eagerness to face Benn in a fight that has been on the cards since 2022. Their original fight was called off due to Benn's positive drug test.
As for Neymar Jr., the Brazilian has been out of action since damaging knee ligaments during an appearance for his country in World Cup qualifying on Oct.18, 2023. In January, Al Hilal deregistered Neymar as a result of his season-ending injury, in order to free up a roster spot for Renan Lodi.
