Nico Carrillo gunning to KO Jonathan Haggerty after his Superlek tie in Denver: "It won't go five rounds"
ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty will defend his Muay Thai crown against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on September 6.
With their titanic matchup inside the Ball Arena only a few weeks away, top-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai competitor Nico Carrillo wants the next crack at 'The General'.
'The King of the North' said as much in a video posted by ONE Championship on YouTube:
"I know I'll beat Jon [Haggerty]. It won't go five rounds."

Haggerty entered superstar territory when he shockingly dethroned then-bantamweight Muay Thai king Nong-O Hama by knockout in April 2023.
The 27-year-old followed it up with another knockout outing in November of that same year against ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade to win the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai'.
Most recently, the Orpington, England-born star is coming off a come-from-behind TKO victory over Felipe Lobo this past February to defend his bantamweight Muay Thai crown.

Nico Carrillo has been calling out Jonathan Haggerty to defend the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against him on many occasions, to the point that the two-sport king has promised him next dibs recently.
However, Superlek could play the spoiler if his lightning-quick offense and relentless pressure end up dethroning Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena.
With Carrillo's desire to fight Haggerty having reached its peak, the Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy fighter could be silently rooting for his fellow United Kingdom star to come out on top at ONE 168: Denver against Superlek.
