Nina-Marie Daniele leaks hilarious DM exchange with Sean Strickland about barefoot UFC appearance: "If you do gay things you must own them"
Nina-Marie Daniele recently shared details of a funny conversation with Sean Strickland over the latter's barefoot UFC appearance. Strickland and Daniele have made a name for themselves as a well-liked MMA combo.
Their humorous content has been a breath of new air for combat sports enthusiasts, and they have established a reputation as banter buddies.
For context, Strickland was present at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada for UFC Vegas 98. However, the former middleweight champion had no shoes on, which Daniele found quite funny. The UFC content creator recently took to X and shared a screenshot of her private conversation with Strickland.
Daniele then asked Strickland whether she could share their chat on X, writing:
''Can I post this on my Twitter?''
In response, Strickland agreed by saying:
''Of course lol. If you do gay things, you must own them''
Despite her lack of combat sports experience, Daniele's social media presence and relationships with fighters have helped her build a solid reputation in the MMA scene. The 35-year-old's unconventional interview style has been appreciated by many fighters, including Strickland, who previously took to X and explained why they have a friendly bond.
"This is why @ninamdrama is successful. MMA journalism is dead. I want to fight for the belt.. done. No interview! The UFC strips the identity of their fighters so they're easy to replace. Nina gives fighters a spotlight to be more than just a logo."
As for the MMA scene, 'Tarzan' is coming off a split decision win against Paulo Costa at UFC 302.
Eric Nicksick discusses Sean Strickland's potential rematch with Dricus du Plessis
According to UFC CEO Dana White, Sean Strickland is expected to take on Dricus du Plessis, against whom he lost his middleweight title at UFC 297.
Strickland's coach Eric Nicksick recently expressed his thoughts on the du Plessis rematch in an interview with MMA Fighting. Nicksick also disclosed his conversation with the reigning champion, saying:
"It's hard to emulate what Dricus does because he's very unorthodox but knows what he's doing in his own style. There are so many things that we didn't do right [at UFC 297]... I'm looking forward to this matchup again, Dricus wrote [to] me a couple of days ago, he's like, 'Yo, I'm excited to go against you again bro.' I have all the love and respect for Dricus and his team, but this is our job."
