In June 2023, reigning two-sport and two-division world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 gave up nine inches of height disadvantage to young phenom Nabil Anane. The duo fought in a flyweight Muay Thai match at ONE Friday Fights 22, which took place inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

ONE Championship looked back at the highlights of this fight between Superlek and the 6-foot-4 Anane on Instagram through a recent video, and they captioned it with:

'The Kicking Machine' fully maximized his fight plan of closing the distance and attacking the 20-year-old's body to get the victory. Superlek succeeded in this approach and eventually got the first-round knockout win.

Superlek expects a great fight with Nico Carrillo in their upcoming championship match at ONE 170

The world's largest martial arts organization has announced that Superlek will be defending his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown for the first time against Nico Carrillo on Jan. 24 at ONE 170 at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Before this superfight, the Kiatmoo9 Gym representative gave his initial thoughts during his most recent interview with the South China Morning Post. He stated:

"He is said to be the best in the division and I'm very excited to face him. I haven't got a game plan yet, but it will be a great fight."
