Nong-O admits "very good" Kiamran Nabati will be a tough nut to crack: "I know it won't be easy"
Nong-O Hama aims to take his winning run to two at ONE Friday FIghts 81, but he knows it won't come easy against Russian firecracker Kiamran Nabati.
The former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion meets the Archangel Michel fighter inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sept. 27, fresh off his bounce-back win over 'Left Meteorite' Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai this past April.
And while the No.3-ranked contender wants to charge his way into reclaiming the divisional gold, currently in the hands of two-sport king Superlek Kiatmoo9, he believes that a war will be in the offing against the undefeated Nabati. That doesn't mean he wouldn't have the right game plan to ensure things go his way.
Speaking at the ONE Friday Fights 81 virtual press conference, Nong-O declared:
"I have studied Kiamran many times, and I think he is a very good fighter. He has good and fast punches. To win against Kiamran, I know it won't be easy. But I have a good plan and strategy."

Nong-O should expect to be put to the test by Kiamran Nabati
Whether or not his strategy will work remains to be seen. Nabati has been in the form of his life since joining the promotional roster. He has acquired three successive victories – including a vicious knockout of Suablack Tor Pran49 at ONE Friday Fights 68 — to secure a six-figure contract to hang with the big boys in the division.
Nong-O will certainly be a test unlike any he's faced before. The Evolve MMA packs experience, accuracy, and unthinkable knockout power, that not many possess.
But per Nabati's perfect track record, the 29-year-old star could have the perfect recipe to claim a shocking upset against the Thai icon on the promotion's latest installment inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai'.
ONE Friday Fights 81 will be available via pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com. The card will be headlined by a featherweight Muay Thai clash between Superbon and 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut.
