Now, nearly two months into his recovery, 'The Hangman' took to Twitter to share the news that he has received medical clearance. This update immediately caught the attention of fellow lightweight contender Renato Moicano, who wasted no time issuing a challenge to the Kiwi fighter.

Dan Hooker's coach, Eugene Bareman, has provided insights into the challenging circumstances that unfolded during Hooker's recent UFC 290 fight.

The bout, which ended with Hooker suffering a broken arm and orbital bone.

Bareman detailed the ordeal in an interview:

"The thing is when you broke a bone, adrenaline is an amazing thing, sometimes you can fight for a bit, but gradually as the fight goes by it gets worse and worse. What the body does eventually is it shuts the limb down, you lose operation of it... Basically that's what was progressively happening through to round three... We had inklings that he had problems with the arm when he was on the ground..."
