Oleksandr Usyk may indirectly help Jake Paul’s dream of boxing at 2028 Olympics: “We will make every effort to do so”
Oleksandr Usyk, a former Olympic gold medalist in boxing, will do everything in his power to make sure that the 'sweet science' features at the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. The heavyweight champion's determination will be music to the ears of Jake Paul, who recently declared his ambition to compete at the 2028 Olympics.
'The Problem Child' has made much noise in the combat sports world since entering the professional boxing scene in 2020. But his apparent frustration with Team USA's inability to secure a gold medal at the 2024 edition of the Olympic Games led him to declare that he intends to feature in four years times.
Uysk is the Chief Strategy Officer for Ready to Fight, an app and digital platform intended to connect fans, fighters, trainers, promoters, and more in a way never before seen in boxing.
'The Cat' was recently interviewed by Mail Sport Boxing, where he outlined his goal to keep boxing at the Olympics. He said this:
"There will be boxing. We will make every effort to do so. The Ready to Fight team will make every effort to have boxing on Los Angeles... The biggest task of the Ready to Fight team, and mine, is to make Olympic boxing clean. So that there are no corruption schemes that were in the IBA. My team has a recipe for this."

Promising heavyweight boxer claims he knocked out Oleksandr Usyk in sparring
Oleksandr Usyk is currently the king of heavyweight boxing and arguably the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
He was crowned the undisputed heavyweight champion following his split-decision win over Tyson Fury in May. However, ahead of their rematch, Usyk vacated the IBF title, meaning the rematch will not be for the undisputed title.
The vacant IBF title is set to be contested between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, who will clash on 21 Sept., exactly three months before 'The Cat' and Fury.
But surging heavyweight Martin Bakole, who recently knocked out undefeated prospect Jared Anderson, has claimed he knocked out both Usyk and Dubois in sparring.
While talking to Sky Sports Boxing, Bakole said this:
"They never came back to say that I'm lying, because they know it's the truth. When you got to spar someone in the gym, you're not allowed to record it because if I was allowed, I was going to post the video. I'm happy, because no one said I was lying, so it's true."
