"On such a big stage too" - Young phenom Adrian Lee grateful for quick turnaround at ONE 168: Denver
MMA phenom Adrian Lee returns to the global stage of ONE Championship in less than a week, and he's eternally grateful for the opportunity to compete on such a historic card like ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.
That evening inside Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, the Prodigy Training Center affiliate welcomes promotional newcomer Nico Cornejo in a lightweight MMA scrap.
Speaking to Cageside Press recently, Adrian Lee couldn't contain his excitement to compete in the organization's second-ever on-ground event in the United States.
The 18-year-old said:
"I'm so glad I was able to get one so soon - and on such a big stage, too, on ONE's second show in the United States."
As motivated as he is to feature alongside the likes of Jonathan Haggerty, Superlek Kiatmoo9, Liam Harrison, and Seksan Or Kwanmuang inside the Mile High City, Lee remains composed and focused with a tricky test at the deck.
The Hawaii-based fighter will be up against a ground game specialist who blends his striking weapons with relative ease.
However, if he can dish out another similar performance — like his victorious debut appearance at ONE 167 — there should be no issue for the young star to move 2-0 in his career and work his way up the talent-jammed bracket.

Speaking to the promotion, 'The Steel City Kid' offered:
"He is a talented kid. I will not take that away from him. I've seen his record. I've seen a couple of his videos, and he does put in the work. But hey, so do I, too."
