ONE 168: Jonathan Haggerty says Superlek war will be ‘guns blazing’ from the get-go

Jonathan Haggerty believes his highly anticipated headliner against Superlek Kiatmoo9 will be guns blazing from the opening bell.

In one of the most anticipated Muay Thai fights in ONE Championship history, reigning two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty returns to the Circle set to defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against one of the P4P best strikers on the planet.

Haggerty and Superlek will close the show when the promotion heads back to The Mile High City on Friday, September 6 for a stacked ONE 168: Denver card inside Ball Arena.

Documenting his road to their massive Muay Thai clash on YouTube, which is right around the corner, Haggerty is confident that both he and 'The Kicking Machine' will go all-out from the get-go and won't stop until either time expires or one of them hits the canvas—whichever comes first.

"It's going to be full guns blazing from the first round," Haggerty said.

Who leaves ONE 168: Denver as a two-sport champion; Jonathan Haggerty or Superlek?

After making the move from flyweight to bantamweight, Jonathan Haggerty has looked practically unstoppable inside the Circle.

Kickstarting his 2023 with an earth-shattering first-round KO of Nong-O Hama to claim the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai title, 'The General' followed it up with a destructive second-round stoppage against Fabricio Andrade to capture the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing crown.

With one Muay Thai title defense in the books via an epic come-from-behind knockout of Felipe Lobo in February, Haggerty is primed to add another highlight-reel finish to his resume and snap Superlek's 10-fight unbeaten streak.

Of course, 'The Kicking Machine' has other plans.

Already carrying the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship over his shoulder, Superlek plans on etching his name in the history books as a two-sport titleholder.
