Round 2: Zhang comes out and immediately goes for the Thai legend, attacking the body and keeping the pressure on. Sam-A goes back to the knee, but can’t get much on it as Zhang continues to keep his back against the ropes. Sam-A lands a left that momentarily stops Peimian in his tracks, but the ‘Fighting Rooster’ refuses to let up.

Zhang goes back to the body again and Sam-A is slowing down significantly. Zhang keeps the volume up, but Sam-A appears to be landing the more impactful strikes, tagging his foe in close and using his already bloody nose as a target.

After three rounds of intense back-and-forth action, it was the 41-year-old Thai fan favorite who would see his hand raised, scoring a unanimous decision victory over the up-and-coming Chinese star.

The victory moved Sam-A to 2-0 in kickboxing bouts under the ONE Championship banner and earned him his 375th career victory.
