"One of the biggest stars" - Retired Liam Harrison wonders how he'd fare if he entered ONE Championship in his prime
Liam Harrison will always be considered a legend and pioneer of Muay Thai following the career that he has had. The Brit was ahead of his time in many ways but as a result, helped to break down barriers and bring exposure to the sport that he has dedicated his life to.
He's got some unbelievable stories of competing in less-than-ideal circumstances during his long road to ONE 168. After returning to the Circle and coming up short in a firefight with Seksan Or Kwanmuang, 'Hitman' left his gloves in the middle of the Circle to mark the end of his run with ONE Championship.
By the time he arrived in ONE, the best years of Harrison's career were already behind him which means that he can't help but think about what could have been if he had signed to the promotion during his prime years.
He reflected in his post-event press conference about what he believes would have been possible:
"ONE Championship came for me when I was already in my mid-30s to my late 30s. Which devastated me a little bit because if I had gone when I was in my prime and I was beating Anuwat, and smashing all Europeans, and knocking out all the Thais, I think I could [have] really been one of the biggest stars, and a big name like Rodtang and Superlek, and them guys."

It undoubtedly would have been incredible to see what Liam Harrison could achieve if he was still in his prime. However, the time before he arrived in ONE Championship is a huge part of his legacy because he was there before the glitz and the glamor.
When looking back on his run with the promotion, 'The Hitman' was still able to grace fans with some career highlights on the way out.
