ONE Friday Fights 73 full results and recap: Panrit dominates Worapon to take winning streak to three
Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree's surgical three-round display against Worapon Sor Dechapan helped him extend his victorious run to three in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 73 in Asia primetime this past Friday, August 2.
The Thai got things going from the start of his three-round scrap inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium, efficiently cutting angles that allowed him to load up with knees and kicks to the midsection for most of the opening stanza.
It was another one-sided affair in the second canto in Bangkok, Thailand, as the Superbon Training Camp affiliate backed his foe against the ropes with precision, power, and aggression.
This time, though, the ONE Friday Fights star peppered his foe's face with a bevy of elbows and punches. On occasions, where he slowed down upstairs, the 27-year-old stayed active in the pocket with heavy rounds of kicks that left a mark on Worapon's lead legs as the two went back into their corners.
Having had the advantage throughout the opening six minutes, the striking specialist continued to play the role of the aggressor in the final stanza.
Whether it was his kicks, fists, or knees, everything seemed to flow out smoothly from the 5-foot-6 warrior. Wherever Worapon decided to threaten, the Bangkok-based athlete had his defense covered and weapons ready to pounce.
After a dominant three-round showing, Panrit deservingly walked away with a unanimous decision triumph to up his resume to 72-29. It was his third successive win and his fourth overall under the promotion's electrifying ONE Friday Fights series.
The ONE Friday Fights 73 replay will be available on the promotion's official YouTube channel and the ONE Super App. Geo-restrictions may apply.
ONE Championship returns to the legendary venue for ONE Fight Night 24 next, topped by two massive high-stakes world title matchups.
