"One of the greatest strikers to have ever lived" - Chatri Sityodtong comments on Liam Harrison's retirement after ONE 168
ONE 168 was an emotional night for Chatri Sityodtong and several legendary fighters like Liam Harrison.
The promotion's return to the United States promised to be a spectacle and that's exactly what it delivered.
There were incredible fights and performances but two of the most noteworthy talking points were the endings of two great careers.
First, ONE flyweight MMA world champion Demetrious Johnson vacated his belt as he announced that arguably the greatest run in MMA was coming to an end.
This was only followed up by Liam Harrison's final war under the ONE Championship banner.
After going toe-to-toe with Seksan Or Kwanmuang and coming up short, he left his gloves behind him inside the Circle.
Whilst 'Mighty Mouse' will go down as one of the greatest MMA fighters to ever do it, Harrison leaves behind a legacy as a true pioneer who brought so many new fans into the sport of Muay Thai.
In his post-fight press conference, Chatri Sityodtong reflected on what it was like to watch both men bow out graciously:
"Watching DJ retire, the way he did is just, watching Liam retire, even though he didn't get the win, he still goes down as one of the greatest strikers to have ever lived."

Chatri Sityodtong also got his own moment at ONE 168
These incredible moments from Demetrious Johnson and Liam Harrison weren't the only parts of the show that got Chatri Sityodtong feeling emotional.
During the broadcast, he was awarded his black belt by Jiu-Jitsu legend, Renzo Gracie which he never expected to finally achieve.
Ultimately, between these three moments alone, showed the path of several martial artists and the accomplishments that they have achieved.
For Liam Harrison, this means going out on his own terms after a legendary career that has made him into an icon of Muay Thai.
