“One win can change everything” - Adriano Moraes says struggling fighters can always turn their luck around
Adriano Moraes has worked hard to be at the top of ONE flyweight MMA division, and he has a positive mindset to get him through his toughest challenges.
For the Brazilian star, keeping this positive attitude is essential to grab any major opportunities that present itself, such as when he became the only person who knocked out his long time idol and MMA great Demetrious Johnson.
Nonetheless, he has also achieved many things with ONE Championship, and he's now ready to kickstart his next run for the gold in a clash with old foe and former title challenger Danny Kingad at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Nov. 8.
In a recent interview, 'Mikinho' told Party Starter Radio on what it means to stay positive as a long-time fighter in the industry:
"It’s funny, I think what’s going to change is how you believe it, how much you’re going to give for what you believe. A lot of fighters can lose a lot of things, but one win can change everything. Sometimes, it changes your life forever."
He added:
"So, I think you have to believe. Just because you lost a fight or lost something, it already means you’re not good. When you lose, it can never define you."
With that kind of attitude, it is certain that his next showdown would be something that all fighting fans wouldn't want to miss out.

Adriano Moraes shares a 'life-changing' moment with Demetrious Johnson
Although Adriano Moraes had to suffer two losses against MMA great Demetrious Johnson, the Brazilian star is proud to be the only person who had finished him in their first encounter.
The 38-year-old veteran had indeed marked his journey with plenty of highlight-reel finishes, but his knockout over 'Mighty Mouse' in 2021 was the one that resonates with him the most.
In the same interview, 'Mikinho' said:
"It changed my life completely, because with that knockout, I got to draw my new contract with ONE Championship, and that was a life changer."
Now, Adriano Moraes returns to aim for the gold when he enters a rematch with Danny Kingad at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on November 8.
