Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane promises Anatoly Malykhin “is going to the hospital” in world title challenge at ONE 169
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane has vowed to unleash the utmost violence against Anatoly Malykhin, so much so that a trip to the nearest medical facility would be a necessity once their fight ends.
The Senegalese wrestling machine will challenge the three-division MMA world champion for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title in the main event of ONE 169 on November 8 in US primetime at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.
Taking to Instagram, Kane said he'd send Malykhin to the hospital once their fight is over and after he's claimed the ONE heavyweight MMA throne for himself.
'Reug Reug' posted:
"#169 someone is going to the hospital 🏥🚑"
Kane has been on an impressive four-fight winning streak, with his latest MMA victory coming against BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida.
The two grappling monsters faced off in a high-paced showdown at ONE Fight Night 13 that saw Kane and 'Buchecha' utterly exhausted after three rounds.
Kane ultimately claimed the unanimous decision win over Almeida, which practically set up his world title challenge against Malykhin.
The Russian knockout machine, however, is on a different level.
Malykhin is the reigning ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world champion, with a perfect 14-0 professional record. 'Sladkiy' is 6-0 in ONE Championship, with all of his wins coming via knockout.
It'll be interesting to see how Kane will try to solve the puzzle Malykhin will present in their Bangkok showdown.
ONE 169 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
'Reug Reug' wants to take a shot at Anatoly Malykhin's light heavyweight MMA throne
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane isn't satisfied with just one piece of ONE Championship gold.
The 32-year-old said in an interview with ONE Championship that he plans to drop down to 225 pounds and challenge Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE light heavyweight MMA world title.
He said:
"I will go down to 100kgs and take his other belt. After that, I’m going to go up again and fight another guy, no problem."
