Paddy Pimblett brags about beating Islam Makhachev's performance against King Green by a second
Paddy Pimblett let out a wry laugh at the UFC 304 post-fight press conference while commenting on him one-upping Islam Makhachev against King Green. 'The Baddy' will enter the lightweight top 15 following his first-round submission over King Green at the Co-op Live in Manchester the past weekend.
Adding to Pimblett's excitement is the fact that he finished Green quicker than the incumbent lightweight champion managed to do so at UFC Fight Night 202. Suffice it to say the Scouser made sure to sneak in the details during the post-fight media event:
"No one has subbed him since January 2009. I saw a funny little stat there as well. My coaches said I finished him a second faster than Makhachev [Pimblett said laughing]."

At the pay-per-view, Green was finding it hard to get in range on his taller opponent, ultimately forcing him to shoot for a takedown. Pimblett immediately locked in a guillotine on the way down.
From there, he transitioned to a triangle choke and ultimately switched to an arm bar. However, the referee quickly realized that Green had already gone out during the triangle choke and called a stop to the contest at three minutes and 22 seconds of the opening round.

In comparison, it took the Dagestani three minutes and 23 seconds to TKO 'King' when they fought.
The UFC 304 win comes as a breath of fresh air for the 29-year-old, especially since his previous two performances were deemed largely underwhelming by many fans.
'The Baddy' sports a pro-MMA record of 22-3 and is undefeated in the UFC with six wins.
Paddy Pimblett wants top 10 lightweight next
Paddy Pimblett has his sights set on a surging lightweight next. During his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, 'The Baddy' called out the No.10-ranked Renato Moicano:
"I have a name that everybody wants me to fight, Renato Moiciano. Hopefully, he gets through BSD [Benoit Saint-Denis] and we'll see if we can settle it before the end of the year or in the New Year."

While Moicano, is far from a new name in the UFC, the Brazilian has gained a lot of traction this year, with high-profile wins against Drew Dober and Jalin Turner.
He is set to face the Dangerous Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Fight Night 243 in September. A win could very well help him to set up a clash against Pimblett for the end of the year.
