Paddy Pimblett explains why he doesn't want his Twitter account back
Paddy Pimblett has been without his Twitter account for quite some time as the rising UFC star was banned for violating community guidelines. Pimblett recently shared that he no longer cares about getting his account back.
Speaking at the media day for UFC 282, Pimblett was asked if he would attempt to get his account back with Elon Musk now in charge. The unranked lightweight responded:
"Nah, I don't want Twitter back, lad. Twitter's a cesspit. Twitter gets me in trouble. People interpret things that I say and twist it and make it sound like I've said something I haven't and make me look bad when I've never said any of those things. People just misinterpret what I say on purpose to make me look bad."
He continued:
"Digging tweets up from like 2018, 19, to try and make me look bad and I'd rather not have Twitter back, lad. It gets me in too much trouble."
While Pimblett previously lobbied to get his account back, it seems that he is no longer concerned with the issue. He was able to get back on Instagram, where he boasts 2.3 million followers.
