Paddy Pimblett fires shots at "obsessed" Ilia Topuria
After successfully weighing in ahead of his clash against Jared Gordon at UFC 282, Paddy Pimblett took time to fire more shots at Ilia Topuria following the pair's altercation at the pre-fight press conference.
Despite fighting different opponents on Saturday, 'The Baddy' got into a battle of words with the Georgian-Spanish prospect, making them the highlight of the entire event. Although many words were exchanged during their time on the mic, it was the scouser's "chorizo" line that got the biggest reaction of the night.
While sitting down to answer questions during the weigh-in show, Paddy Pimblett shared more of his feelings towards Ilia Topuria and claimed the European talent mentions his name to stay relevant, saying:
"He's obsessed with me, isn't he? Like, he uses me to stay in the public eye because no one cares about his life, you know what I mean? No one cares about his existence, so he uses my fame, my publicity, and tries to feed off it. No one cares about him, that's the thing. He's irrelevant to my life, that's why I just called him a chorizo... I'm not gonna sit there and let someone try and talk pony. I'll put him right in his place. He got asked a question about his opponent Bryce [Mitchell] and then finished it off by talking about me. It shows how much I'm in his head, rent free."
Ilia Topuria is set for his toughest test to date inside the octagon when he stands face-to-face with Bryce Mitchell on December 10. The two prospects are ready to showcase a fantastic display of martial arts, with one of the athlete's undefeated records having to come to an end.

A history of problems between Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria
Years ago, Paddy Pimblett made an insensitive remark regarding Georgia on social media that Ilia Topuria didn't take too well, leading the pair to exchange a war of words before eventually meeting at UFC London earlier this year.
Backstage ahead of the UK event back in March, a brawl ensued when 'El Matador' approached the Liverpudlian while he was alone, which ignited the ongoing feud between the two. Pimblett hit Topuria with a hand sanitizer bottle which led to Topuria earning the nickname "Mr. Hand Sanitizer Boy," a label given to him following the events that unfolded backstage.
