Paddy Pimblett reveals one reason he's "continuing to have kids" with wife till they have a son: "I can't let it happen"

Paddy Pimblett, who takes on Bobby Green at UFC 304, had a pre-fight sitdown with Nina-Marie Daniele, where he revealed he will continue to have children with his wife, Laura Gregory, who he married last year. According to 'The Baddy', his priority is to have a son.

The revelation was made after Daniele asked Pimblett if he would ever fight crime. The Scouser answered with a clear dismissal, arguing that he would rather sit at home and eat. This prompted Daniele to interject with a suggestion that he keep having children, which ultimately led to a conversation about the topic.

"I've told Laura, we are continuing to have kids until we have a boy. I need my family name to be carried on. I'm the only chance they've got for it. Not even 'Baddy,' just Pimblett. I'm the only one who can keep the Pimblett name going, so I need to."

When a curious Daniele asked him if he had any brothers, Pimblett revealed that he does indeed have a brother before quickly adding that the latter has a daughter and won't be having any more children.

"It's up to me. Without me, my family name dies and I can't let it happen."

Pimblett is nothing if not proud. On top of having a son, he will also hope to defeat Green later tonight in front of his English faithful to continue his climb to the top of the lightweight division.

Paddy Pimblett has twin daughters

Despite already having two children, Paddy Pimblett does not believe his family name, his surname specifically, will be carried on by them, as they're his daughters. The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion welcomed twin girls Betsy and Margot on April 17, 2024.

Unfortunately, due to how common it is for women to adopt their spouse's surname upon marriage, Pimblett hopes for a son to continue bearing his surname. However, as times have changed, more men have taken to adopting their spouse's surname, like fellow UFC roster-mate Ian Machado Garry.
