Paige VanZant and Austin Vanderford laugh at idea of Dillon Danis accepting their bout: "Would never fight him"

Paige VanZant and her husband Austin Vanderford have shared their thoughts on the possibility of the latter fighting against Dillon Danis. The couple recently sat down for a chat with Damon Martin for MMA Fighting.

At one point during the conversation, Martin asked Vanderford whether he would be interested in going toe-to-toe against the 30-year-old. 'The Gentleman' responded by saying that he would 'love' to lock horns against Danis under the stipulations of 'El Jefe's choice.

"I mean, we haven't ever heard anything but I would sure love that, for sure. I think we could make some good moves in that... We made it public that I would love to fight him and I would do it under whatever stipulations that I'm assuming he would have or whatever but yeah, we haven't heard anything back."

The couple was later asked whether they see that fight becoming a reality. '12 Gauge' replied in the negative and shared her doubts about Danis ever fighting again in MMA.

"No... Dillon would never fight him. I don't know if he'll ever fight again."

What started the rivalry between Paige VanZant and Dillon Danis?

Paige VanZant recently stepped into the world of boxing and made her professional debut in May 2024. In the lead-up to that fight, '12 Gauge' did an interview with Misfits Boxing where she commented that Dillon Danis was not a fighter.

"Dillon Danis is not a fighter. He's not a fair comparison."

'El Jefe' responded to VanZant's comments by claiming that him and the former UFC fighter were romantically involved in the past.

'12 Gauge' retaliated by uploading a video to her Instagram account where she refuted Danis' claims and claimed that the two only had a single interaction in the past where the 30-year-old made an inappropriate request from the former UFC fighter.

This led to a feud between the two athletes and they continue to take digs at each other on social media since then.
