Panpayak banking on his experience to counter Silviu Vitez's "endurance and all-around weapons" at ONE Friday Fights 83
'The Angel Warrior' Panpayak Jitmuangnon expects a tough day in the office in his return at ONE Friday Fights 83. Still, he remains confident that he'll leave with his hand raised.
The Thai striker squares off against Romanian knockout machine Silviu Vitez in a flyweight Muay Thai encounter. They will clash inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, October 18, and the fight will mark Panpayak's first return to action since suffering a defeat to Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 164.
Speaking to ONE Championship, Panpayak dissected his opposite number's strengths, while highlighting what he'd rely on to guarantee a win inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai.' The 28-year-old shared:
"His strengths are his endurance and all-around weapons. So I plan to use my superior experience to fight against him."
Should he register a triumph over the hard-hitting Romanian, the multi-time Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadium world champion will improve his promotional resume to 5-3.
However, he won't have it easy as the 30-year-old 'Hitman' should be full of motivation for this one, particularly as he is on a two-fight skid.
Panpayak opens up on time away from the spotlight
In the same interview with the promotion ahead of his return, the multi-time Muay Thai world champion opened up on his decision to take a break from competition — one that, according to him, was much-needed.
Panpayak continued:
"The main reason I decided to stop fighting was because I felt burned out and had no motivation anymore. I felt that I had been using my body for a long time, so I wanted to take a break and do something else."
Tune in to his fight against Silviu Vitez on ONE Friday Fights 83, available on the ONE Championship YouTube channel and the ONE Super App live in Asia primetime on Oct. 18.
