Panpayak says he’s the ‘only one who can stop’ Superlek’s superhuman streak in ONE Championship
Panpayak believes he has what it takes to defeat Superlek in the future.
At ONE 168: Denver, Superlek further proved he's one of the best strikers on the planet by knocking out Jonathan Haggerty in 49 seconds. The two-sport world champion's last four wins were against Haggerty, the hard-hitting Kongthoranee, Japanese kickboxing legend Takeru Segawa, and Muay Thai superstar Rodtang.
Superlek's run over the last year has raised the question of whether anyone can defeat him. 'The Kicking Machine' is expected to defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against number two-ranked Nico Carrillo in his next fight. Meanwhile, another well-respected striker has his eyes on the Thai superstar.
During an interview with the South China Morning Post, 7x Muay Thai world champion Panpayak had this to say about fighting Superlek:
“I am the only one who can stop Superlek, just give me time.”
Panpayak is undoubtedly a dangerous striker with the skills to potentially defeat Superlek. With that said, the world-class fighters have fought twice in Muay Thai under the ONE Championship banner. Superlek emerged victorious by decision both times (the first by unanimous decision and the second by split).

When was Panpayak's last fight in ONE Championship?
Panpayak has fought six times in ONE Championship (2-2 in Muay Thai and 2-0 in kickboxing) since his promotional debut in December 2018. 'The Angel Warrior' last fought in December 2022 when Superlek defeated him in Muay Thai.
On October 18, Panpayak is scheduled to make his highly-anticipated return at ONE Friday Fights 83. The 28-year-old will face Silviu Vitez, who looks to turn things around following a 1-4 start to his promotional tenure.
Before signing with ONE, Panpayak proved he was a world-class striker by becoming a 4x Lumpinee Stadium champion, 2x Rajadamnern Stadium champion, and 3x Sports Writers Association of Thailand Fighter of the Year.
