Paulo Costa makes his opinion clear on Israel-Palestine war: "Give them all terrorists and finish it"

UFC middleweight Paulo Costa was divisive again on social media today. In a recent tweet, 'Borrachinha' posted a photo of Israeli Nova festival survivor Shirel Golan on his X account - sparking both outrage and support from fans.

Here's the photo:

Golan was one of the few survivors of the Hamas attack on Israel. In the months following the attack, Golan suffered extreme post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which led to her suicide on October 20. It was less than two weeks after the first anniversary of the Hamas attack and was Golan's 22nd birthday as well.

A lot of followers of Paulo Costa unfairly expressed their misguided disappointment at the MMA star's sympathy for a young woman's death. This prompted the Brazilian striker to jokingly ask why are there so many "incels just showing up" on his feed.

This saw X user @StickBang reply:

"Did you post any RIPs for individual Palestinians? Then they consider you biased and to have taken a side in possibly the most divisive political conflict in modern history, to answer your question."

Costa replied to this in an already deleted tweet, saying:

"Okay thanks for responding. Here my POV I saw a country being invaded and attacked her innocent and defenseless civilians, babies and woman's kidnapped, r*ped and dismembered by terrorists. I want they all to burn in the deepest hell. 2 it's a very divisive war and I'm not take any sides. Gives them all terrorists and finish it. I respect war warriors but not cowards terrorists."

What is clear, however, is his sympathy and condolences to the friends and family of Shirel Golan.

Paulo Costa closes the door on all the political talk in his X account

As if fed up with all the talks about political ideologies on his X timeline, Paulo Costa posted a separate tweet addressing his fans that he's over it.

Costa tweeted:

"Hey mtfks this is not a place for war topics talks . If u want go to [former UFC welterweight Jake Shields] @jakeshieldsajj and others ppl whom are talking about that . My only war is against my thoughts about p*ssy all day long πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’. It’s very very tough one ☝️"

Interestingly, Costa recommended his friend and fellow MMA star Jake Shields as a better source of political content from MMA fighters on X. Shields also hosts his own podcast, Fight Back.
