Paulo Costa recently shared his hilarious reasoning for being fooled by Sean Strickland's fighting style during their UFC 302 fight and made a comparison to a classic film. The Brazilian lost a split decision to the former middleweight champion, which was his second consecutive loss.
Since the loss, 'Borrachinha' has made his intentions known that he will be taking more risks in his next fight rather than trying to score points on the scorecards. Strickland's fighting style appeared to have caused problems for Costa as he was unable to dictate the pace of the fight.
The Brazilian took to his X account to share his reasoning for the loss and highlighted an area of 'Tarzan's fighting style that was similar to Daniel LaRusso's crane kick stance in 'The Karate Kid'. He wrote:
"F*** @SStricklandMMA mtfk you fool me. I didn't know you're karate nigu until I see that kick at 5 seconds to finish last round."
Costa continued his hilarious reasoning by noting that he has to consider training with Strickland in order to learn his techniques:
"Sean I gonna learn this techniques with you."
