PFL 'Battle of the Giants' purses: How much will Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira make for their heavyweight title fight? Estimated payouts reported

The PFL payouts for their upcoming 'Battle of the Giants' event will be among the promotion's highest-ever. This is especially true due to Francis Ngannou's salary heading into his heavyweight title match with Renan Ferreira, where the pair compete for the promotion's heavyweight superfight belt on Oct. 19.

While there are no exact figures regarding either man's purse, Forbes reports that Ngannou stands to pocket over $10 million. Meanwhile, Ferreira is expected to earn a base salary of $2 million due to 'The Predator' having negotiated the figure as the minimum payout for all of his opponents.

It is one of the terms of Ngannou's historic PFL contract. The bout will be of great importance to both men. For Ngannou, it marks his first MMA bout since his departure from the UFC in early 2023, where he last fought in early 2022 by defending his then UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane.

Moreover, it will be Ngannou's first fight, under any ruleset, since his devastating second-round knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in the pair's March 8 boxing match this year. Ferreira, meanwhile, is currently on a four-fight knockout streak, having recently finished Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader.

A win over Ngannou would almost certainly lead to talk of him being the world's best heavyweight despite not fighting in the UFC. The matchup is also the most high-profile bout on the roster, with Ngannou being the promotion's flagship star, despite having not yet stepped inside the SmartCage.

What of the other PFL 'Battle of the Giants' payouts?

Unfortunately, there is no concrete information on the payouts for the other scheduled bouts. However, the fights in question are no less attention-grabbing than Francis Ngannou's clash with Renan Ferreira. A women's featherweight superfight title fight is set to co-headline the event.

Bellator women's featherweight champion and all-time great Cris Cyborg faces PFL lightweight and featherweight champion Larissa Pacheco. The latter holds a win over two-time Olympic judo champion and UFC women's bantamweight contender Kayla Harrison.

Additionally, Johnny Eblen defends his Bellator middleweight title against Fabian Edwards. It is a rematch of their 2023 encounter, which saw Eblen secure a third-round knockout.
