PFL CEO names the only roadblock to booking Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou mega-fight

PFL CEO Peter Murray has shared his thoughts on what it would take to make the Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou dream matchup a reality. Murray recently had an interaction with Adam Catterall for talkSPORT at a PFL event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During their interaction, Murray stated that the PFL is in favor of making cross-promotion fights. He then said both Ngannou and Jones are interested in a showdown and that it is up to the UFC to help make the fight a reality.

"Yeah, I mean we're supportive of it [cross-promotion fights]. I mean, the fighters want the fight. Jon Jones wants the fight, Francis wants the fight, we want the fight, out partners here at Saudi [Arabia] want the fight and so, it really comes own to, 'Does UFC want to step up to it or not?' Period."

Francis Ngannou responds to Jon Jones on social media

UFC heavyweight king Jon Jones recently defended his throne by defeating Stipe Miocic by a third-round knockout at UFC 309. Despite the victory, 'Bones' has been facing backlash for allegedly dodging a fight against interim champion Tom Aspinall.

Jones recently uploaded a post on X, in which he addressed the 'ducking' allegations.

"Crazy how being called a duck' pays better than most of you Internet tough guys will make in a lifetime. Two fights in four years and still one of the biggest names in the sport? That's not ducking, that's winning. God's belssings, hit different. Stay mad."

Ngannou responded to Jones' post by issuing a cryptic callout, saying it was the only fight that made sense for 'Bones'.

"Blessings make haters uncomfortable, but they can't change it. There's only one fight, the right fight that will multiply our blessings. #NgannouVSJones"
