In a highly anticipated UFC fight, Brazilian fighter Pereira emerged victorious over his opponent Adesanya to claim the middleweight championship title at UFC 281. This victory marked the third time the two had met in combat, with Pereira having previously defeated Adesanya twice in the kickboxing ring, once by knockout.

The fight took place in November 2022 and was eagerly watched by fans across the globe who were eager to see if Adesanya could finally redeem himself against his Brazilian opponent. Despite putting up a strong fight, 'The Last Stylebender' was ultimately defeated by TKO in the fifth round, as Alex Pereira proved to be the stronger fighter.

Despite the disappointment of this loss, the New Zealander has been granted another opportunity to reclaim the championship title from his rival. Alex Pereira admits he is not a fan of trash-talking

Alex Pereira has confessed that he is not fond of trash-talking ahead of his highly anticipated rematch against Israel Adesanya.

During the second episode of UFC 287: Embedded, Pereira spoke about his preparations for the upcoming fight, which will be the fourth time the two have competed in combat sports. While he enjoys the training and competition aspect, he revealed that trash-talking is not his forte.

Pereira said:

"I do like the training, I do like fighting, but this trash talk part, I have a hard time doing it. I don't like doing it. My thing is to train and to do what you just saw. That's what I love and what I know how to do. I do it very well. Now, talking...I am not too good at it...Call me out! Even I am scared of myself."

The Brazilian added that he prefers to focus on his training and fighting skills and is looking forward to maintaining his win streak against Adesanya.
