Joe Rogan recently shared a picture demonstrating what Alex Pereira is capable of. Furthermore, Rogan lauded both Pereira and Khalil Rountree Jr. for their outstanding performances in the main event of UFC 307, held this past Saturday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Along with Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier, Rogan provided commentary for UFC 307, which featured the Pereira vs. Rountree Jr. title fight. Following 'Poatan's victory by knockout for the third time in 2024, the UFC commentator revealed something startling about Pereira's strength.
Rogan recently posted a picture of Cormier's blood-stained phone on social media, depicting the violent contest between Pereira and Rountree Jr. The 57-year-old then expressed his admiration for both fighters, writing:
''@dc_mma had his phone splattered with blood at the end of the main event. What a performance! @alexpoatanpereira is a monster, and @khalilrountree has the heart of a true warrior. What a fight!''
The two gave their everything inside the octagon in what was an exciting fight from start to finish. Even though he was the underdog, Rountree Jr. had some early success as he dropped Pereira in the second round after the latter failed to land a head kick.
However, 'Poatan's strong jabs left the challenger stunned, leaving his face battered and wounded for the rest of the fight. At the end of the fourth round, Pereira sent Rountree Jr. to the ground with his vicious body shots, which forced referee Marc Goddard to step in and stop the fight.
In the post-fight press conference, UFC CEO Dana White commended both fighters, saying:
''What a hell of a fight, I mean, Khalil Rountree is another level of tough...What this guy [Pereira] has done is unbelievable, and the way that he’s done it, this guy destroys everybody…''
