Photos: Aljamain Sterling shares snaps from loss to Movsar Evloev, makes surprise callout of top featherweight: "Let’s do this in March"
Aljamain Sterling, in his recent social media post, shared snaps from his fight against Movsar Evloev. He also called out top featherweight contender Arnold Allen as a potential opponent for his next fight.
Sterling faced Evloev at UFC 310 on Dec. 7 in a back-and-forth battle, where the Russian secured a unanimous decision victory to hand Sterling the first loss of his featherweight career.
Recently, ‘Funk Master’ took to Instagram and shared snaps from his last fight, as well as photos of Allen for his callout. The Brit, who also suffered a loss to Evloev this year, was challenged by Sterling to meet in March:
“Good scrap, but it’s on to the next. Arnold Allen, let’s do this in March, mate.”

Aljamain Sterling targets march return, calls for fights against Arnold Allen or Brian Ortega
Brian Ortega and Arnold Allen are both ranked above Aljamain Sterling. In his recent interview with Home of Fight, Sterling revealed his plans for 2025 and expressed a desire to book a fight against either man.
He also asserted that he feels great following UFC 310 and wants to take advantage of his current condition by making a quick return to the octagon. Sterling said:
"I would like to make a March return. If I do get a fight for March, April the latest, I would like to fight Arnold Allen or fight Brian Ortega. I don't feel like that loss to Movsar should push me down the rankings. If anything I almost feel like it should be treated as a [win]. It's weird to say like that because it might come off as a little funny to hear me say that... I shouldn't have to go fighting down the rankings."
He continued:
"I think a March return would be nice. I want to stay busy, especially while I can. This is the first time I've actually been the majority of the post-fight healthy. I want to take advantage of that... I'd be more than willing to play spoiler, and I like the UK fans."
