Photos: Inside Khalil Rountree Jr. and wife Mia Kang's stunning getaway in Morocco

Khalil Rountree Jr. recently shared a series of photos on social media with his wife, Mia Kang, as they spent some quality family time in Morocco. In the photos, Rountree Jr. and his wife can be seen enjoying a camel ride and exploring various places in Morocco.

The American fighter delivered a spectacular performance against reigning light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira at UFC 307, which took place on Oct. 6 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 34-year-old went into the fight on the back of a five-fight winning streak.

In the first round, Rountree Jr. found success with his strikes, while Pereira tried to find his rhythm and range. In the second round, both fighters went back and forth, ‘The War Horse’ landed some powerful strikes, while the Brazilian responded with a big head kick.

In the third and fourth rounds, Pereira demonstrated why he’s the champion, delivering serious damage to the American. Despite the damage he took, Rountree Jr. fought valiantly.

Eventually, however, 'Poatan's' assault proved to be too much. He cornered Rountree Jr. against the fence, and landed some vicious blows, prompting the referee to stop the fight.

Alex Pereira revealed that he injured his hand while inflicting damage on Khalil Rountree Jr.

While Rountree Jr. had some success in the early rounds, Alex Pereira showed exactly why he is the champion at 205 pounds later in the fight. After figuring out his opponent and finding his range, the Brazilian walked his opponent down, dishing out significant damage, before he eventually secured the TKO win.

In a recent interview on Podpah, 'Poatan' revealed that he injured his hand while landing strikes on Rountree Jr. Pereira said:

"In that 4th round, I was throwing jabs and it was hurting my hand man, I swear. I was thinking ‘my hand must be broken’. It still hurts today.”
