Photos: Khabib Nurmagomedov shares exclusive UFC 311 fight camp snaps feat. Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov
Khabib Nurmagomedov has a difficult task ahead of him as he prepares his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov and longtime training partner Islam Makhachev for UFC 311.
Nurmagomedov will be Makhachev's cornerman when he defends his lightweight title for the fourth time against Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of UFC 311. In addition, 'The Eagle' will also be in the corner for the co-main event, which will see Umar challenging Merab Dvalishvilli for the bantamweight title.
Another Dagestani fighter on the card is Tagir Ulanbekov who will face Clayton Carpenter in a flyweight bout in the early prelims of the pay-per-view event. Nurmagomedov rushed to social media after UFC CEO Dana White revealed the card to share his delight about coaching three of his teammates.
In a recent Instagram post, the former lightweight champion uploaded snaps of his training sessions with Makhachev, Umar, and the entire Dagestani camp, writing:
''We here for work #ufc311''

During the UFC 311 press conference, Makhachev made a light-hearted remark about Nurmagomedov cornering him and his other teammates at UFC 311, saying:
"We try to make it easy but it’s gonna be long night for him [Khabib Nurmagomedov]. From the card opening Tagir Ulanbekov fighting the first fight, myself, Umar… I feel bad about Khabib. It’s gonna be long night for him."

Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn't want Islam Makhachev to face Belal Muhammad
Islam Makhachev has consistently stated his ambition to become a two-division champion, but given Belal Muhammad's close ties with the Dagestani camp, this may not be possible as long as he is the welterweight champion.
In a recent interview with Henry Cejudo for the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Makhachev's close friend and training partner Khabib Nurmagomedov stated that he could not envision Makhachev facing Muhammad and praised the latter's skills inside the octagon.
''My heart – my heart is not OK. It would be hard to prepare Islam to beat Belal...I don’t think that it’s ever going to happen. For me, it’s going to be very hard to prepare somebody to beat Belal. If you want to beat Belal, I think you have to stop him. Without a stoppage, it’s going to be very hard. What are you going to do?''
