Post-fight, Sterling took time to unwind with his partner, siblings, and close friends, reflecting on his victories beyond the octagon. Sharing a glimpse of his life after UFC 310, Sterling emphasized the importance of perseverance and cherishing personal connections. He took to Instagram and wrote:

"Post-fight with my lady, my siblings, cuzzin [cousins], and best friends from middle school. We’re not celebrating a win this time around but we get to celebrate life and the victory of always trying and never giving up on your dreams. Just a small bump in the road from a good scrap."

Despite the setback, Sterling’s transition back to featherweight has shown flashes of potential, including a dominant win over Calvin Kattar earlier this year. The 35-year-old holds a 1-1 record in the division after transitioning to the weight class following his loss to Sean O'Malley at UFC 292. Before that fight, Sterling had defended the bantamweight title thrice with solid victories over the likes of Henry Cejudo, Petr Yan, and T.J. Dillashaw.

Aljamain Sterling claims he contemplated retirement after loss against Movsar Evloev at UFC 310

Aljamain Sterling faces an uncertain future following his unanimous decision loss to Movsar Evloev at UFC 310. The former UFC bantamweight champion, now 1-1 in the featherweight division, showed his skills against a surging contender but fell short of victory.

Reflecting on his performance, the 35-year-old acknowledged the challenge of climbing back to title contention at his age. He admitted he may no longer train as intensely as he once did, making his path forward more complex. Speaking about his performance and the aftermath of the loss on his YouTube channel, Sterling said:

"At 35 [years old], I don’t know if I really want to climb the ladder all over again. I don’t want to say from scratch, but the end goal is so much further. I’m at a point where it’s, like, is that worth the time invested for the surgeries, the pain, the training, the sacrifice? Do I still have that fight to commit to do that all the way up until the belt again, knowing that there’s still a good chance? There are still some other dogs that I could potentially fight and not have the fight go my way.”
