Post-UFC 304 Rankings Update: Belal Muhammad enters P4P list, Muhammad Mokaev removed, Paddy Pimblett finally ranked

The UFC rankings experienced a significant overhaul following the conclusion of UFC 304. Several fighters saw their positions change, some rising to new heights while others faced a downward trajectory.

One of the most surprising developments was the removal of Muhammad Mokaev from the flyweight rankings despite his victory over Manel Kape. The young prospect's UFC journey came to an abrupt end after the event, as Dana White announced his release from the promotion.

Kape, on the other hand, dropped one spot to ninth in the division. To fill the vacancy left by Mokaev, Cody Duren made his position at 15th rank.

In the lightweight division, Paddy Pimblett's impressive first-round submission win over King Green earned him a well-deserved spot at number 15 in the rankings.

The heavyweight division also saw changes, with Tom Aspinall moving up two spots to ninth in the P4P rankings following his dominant victory over Curtis Blaydes. The interim champion continues to climb the ladder as he awaits a potential unification bout.

The most significant shift occurred in the welterweight division, where Belal Muhammad captured the title from Leon Edwards. As a result, Muhammad entered the P4P rankings at number six, while Edwards dropped three spots to number seven.

Jon Jones responds to Tom Aspinall's callout after UFC 304 win

Jon Jones has responded to Tom Aspinall's callout following the interim heavyweight champion's impressive knockout victory over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.

After securing the finish at UFC 304, Aspinall made it clear that he believes he is the best heavyweight in the world and called for a unification bout with Jones. The undefeated Englishman expressed his belief that Jones was hoping for a Blaydes victory to avoid a potential matchup with him.

Mincing no words, Aspinall said in his post-fight comments:

“Jon’s the undisputed champion, but I’m the best in the world, if that makes any sense. We know what Jon’s doing. Jon was there, crossing his fingers and toes tonight hoping I’d lose to Curtis, let’s not bullshit about it. He posted about it loads anyway that I’m going to lose to him. That didn’t happen, so that’s the fight I want next.”[H/t: BJ Penn]
