Dana White awards Wang Cong $50,000 bonus for UFC Vegas 96 KO win
Wang Cong demolished Victoria Leonardo just 62 seconds into the opening round of their UFC Vegas 96 bout and set a record for the second-fastest KO in the UFC women's flyweight division history.
Despite her performance, she wasn't awarded a $50k 'Performance of the Night' bonus at the end of the night and took to Instagram to air her frustration. She posted an animated picture of 'The Joker' and wrote:
"Wake up and find out there is no POTN. Next fight you will see more spectacular finish UFC. Don’t play with Joker again!"
Dana White, who wasn't in town to catch the fights live, addressed her concerns in the post's comments section and promised to give her the $50k bonus after watching her performance. He wrote:
"I was out of town and watched the fight at Mystique Boston on TV. You looked AMAZING. I’m adding another POTN bonus for u. Congrats, you get $50k."
