"Press forward as much as possible" - Panpayak vows to push pedal to the metal vs Silviu Vitez at ONE Friday Fights 83

'The Angel Warrior' Panpayak Jitmuangnon is ready to pull all the stops as he seeks to get his return off to a flyer at ONE Friday Fights 83, and he believes his forward pressure will play a key role in helping him accomplish just that.

A multi-time Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai world champion, the 28-year-old squares off against Romanian striking dynamo Silviu Vitez in a flyweight joust inside the Mecca of Muay Thai this Friday, October 18.

In an interview with ONE Championship ahead of fight night, Panpayak offered some insights into his training camp and what he'd do to unsettle Vitez from the get-go. The Jitmuangnon Gym man said:

"For this fight, I have worked hard on my punches. As for kicks, don't worry, you guys will definitely see it in the ring. I will try to press forward as much as possible."

Though it has been almost two years since fans have seen him compete — after he decided to take a sabbatical due to career burnout — Panpayak is game to turn back the clock and put on a lasting performance on martial arts' biggest stage.

Thus far, under the ONE Championship banner, the Samut Prakan native has racked up four impressive wins, including a head kick knockout of Savvas Michael in August 2022.

His last fight inside the Circle ended via a split decision defeat to newly-crowned two-sport world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.

Panpayak wants to shut down Silviu Vitez early at ONE Friday Fights 83

There's no sweeter way for the Jitmuangnon Gym representative to announce his return with a highlight-reel finish. And that is what the striking megastar has in mind when he collides against the 30-year-old Romanian Muay Thai standout.

In the same interview, 'The Angel Warrior' declared that he wants to remind the world that class is, indeed, permanent.

He noted:

"My goal for this fight is to make an epic comeback by winning by knockout. I want to show my daughter and everyone that Panpayak is still a great fighter."
