Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are primed to battle for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Ariel Helwani poses questions following announcement of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk before Francis Ngannou bout

Renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani offered his perspective after the official announcement of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, all while 'The Gypsy King' is gearing up for his heavyweight clash with Francis Ngannou.

Helwani shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) and questioned the decision to make this announcement a month ahead of Fury's upcoming bout with 'The Predator,' fearing it might diminish the appeal of the impending fight. He posted:

"I know I know. No one thinks Ngannou has a chance. I get it. But why before 10/28? Does it not diminish the fight a bit? Rare this happens. Obviously we know when someone is next and all that but rare a fight gets announced like this before the next one happens... And dare I ask … What … If … Francis … Actually … Wins?! 😮 /ducks"
