“Puric is too wild” – Lito Adiwang believes Denis Puric still has ways to go to reach Rodtang’s level
Strawweight standout Lito Adiwang believes Denis Puric has a ways to go before he can truly compare himself to the likes of Rodtang.
Emanating from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, 'The Iron Man' will return to the Circle on Friday, June 7, for a bantamweight kickboxing clash with 'The Bosnian Menace' at ONE 167.
The fight could serve as a coming-out party of sorts for Puric who has been one of the flyweight division's fastest-rising contenders via a series of impressive victories over Tagir Khalilov and Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat. However, it was his showing against Jacob Smith at ONE Fight Night 21 that moved him into the No. 2 spot in the flyweight Muay Thai rankings.
Looking ahead of Puric's toughest test yet at ONE 167, Lito Adiwang suggested that 'The Bosnian Menace' may be biting off a bit more than he can chew, telling the promotion:
"Puric, I think, is too wild. He is good as well but his technique is lacking, especially compared to Rodtang’s level."
Rodtang looks to add another big win to his illustrious resume at ONE 167
As always, 'The Iron Man' needs absolutely no introduction.
In the six years since he signed with ONE Championship, Rodtang has become the biggest name in the art of eight limbs, dispatching a plethora of world-class opponents en route to becoming the promotion's reigning flyweight Muay Thai world champion.
Rodtang has stepped inside the ring with the likes of Jonathan Haggerty, Danial Williams, Joseph Lasiri, Demetrious Johnson, and Superlek, proving that he has both the skills and the testicular fortitude to throw hands with the best of the best.
Will 'The Iron Man' bag his 272nd career win in his home country, or will Denis Puric shock the world and establish himself as the next big thing in the flyweight division?
ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 167 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime on Friday, June 7.
