Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson apologizes to Joe Rogan for getting mad at leg kick criticism: "You didn't hurt my feelings"
Joe Rogan and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson have patched things up after an infamous bust-up that was largely one-sided. The pair had a recent conversation on episode 159 of the Joe Rogan Experience, during which they spoke about Rogan's past advice to him, which Jackson took poorly at the time.
Back then, Rogan suggested that Jackson start throwing and checking low kicks. Unfortunately, that bit of constructive criticism wasn't taken well by 'Rampage', who expressed annoyance over Rogan's observation.
Fortunately, the two are now on better terms, and the former UFC light heavyweight champion has apologized to Rogan:
"I gotta apologize to you about that."
Rogan explained that his observations are no slight, and that he doesn't criticize a person, but merely takes notes on how he feels they could find more success inside the octagon.
However, after he asserted that he never means to offend or hurt anyone's feelings, Jackson was quick to clarify things.
"No, you didn't hurt my feelings. It was nothing that you said. I'm going to clear it up for you right now. It wasn't nothing you said, it's the f***ing fans. When you said that, they all come to me on my social media."
Check out the conversation between the two popular MMA figures on JRE (1:16:10):
While 'Rampage' never rounded his skillset in the manner that Rogan suggested, he still achieved significant success throughout his MMA career, with his peaks taking place in PRIDE FC and then later in the UFC.
Joe Rogan isn't the only commentator to incite fury of UFC fighters over his critiques
While Joe Rogan and Quinton Jackson have resolved their issues, he isn't alone in being a commentator whose observations have sparked the anger of fighters.
Both he and Daniel Cormier once noted that future UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley seemed to have a vulnerability to low kicks.
This led to a narrative about O'Malley having brittle legs, especially around his ankle area due to his TKO loss to Marlon 'Chito' Vera.
Naturally, 'Sugar' took issue with this and heavily criticized the UFC commentary team.
